Company personnel did not have strong project management skills and execution discipline. They were in a high growth mode and needed to build their ability to deliver new software applications and process improvements.

Core Catalysts provided project management resources to refocus the project, set realistic milestones, and work with Company personnel to complete the implementation. Key tasks included:

•  Created a governance structure for the project which included a project steering committee, status reporting, issue tracking, and communication planning
• Completed an assessment of the current implementation project and identified significant issues that had caused project delays and other opportunities for improvement
• Reviewed issues with the project steering committee and determined action plans to address issues and opportunities for improvement
• Created a project plan and obtained buy-in from the project steering committee
• Provided project oversight by leading daily efforts, maintaining project documentation and communicating with appropriate implementation team members
• Assisted with development of user training materials
• Provided feedback to executive team on project team members.

Value Provided

The implementation effort was divided into multiple phases in order to accelerate implementation and align project phases with operational capabilities. The phases were implemented successfully on time and on budget. The project management framework that was created during the project is being used to manage the implementation of future phases. The Company team members now operate more effectively since their project management skills have improved and they have a documented methodology to utilize on-going.
